| Emily Cryer's Testimony | ||||
| My
name is Emily Rachel Cryer and I was born in the March of 1992 into a
Christian home. I have been attending church all of my life with the
rest of my family and regularly attended West Basingstoke Baptist Church
until February 2008 and shortly afterwards began attending Carey Baptist
church in Reading.
I became a born again Christian when I was seven years old. I had always known there was a God however I was never really very interested in Him. I never realised the importance of needing my sins washed away. After listening to a very moving sermon at church when I was seven I realised that I was a sinner and needed to change my life around and start following the Lord. In the October of 1999 I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. This doesn’t mean that now I am perfect, far from it as I am sure my close friends can tell you. It simply means that Jesus paid the penalty for my sins when he died on the cross and because I have repented from them He has forgiven me and washed me clean. Also by accepting him as Lord and Saviour in my life I have secured a place in Heaven when I die. I was strongly convicted that I needed to be baptised when I was about twelve years old and on October 14th 2004 I was baptised with my younger sister and a family friend. I then became a junior member of West Basingstoke church until our family decided to leave to go to Carey church in 2008. I don’t really think there is anything more to say about how I became a Christian or how to become a Christian but if you would like to know anymore or you have any questions please feel free to email me at emily@cryer.org.uk
