I have been attending church all of my life with the rest of my family. I was born in the March of 1992 and regularly attended West Basingstoke Baptist Church until February 2008 and shortly afterwards began attending Carey Baptist church in Reading.
I became a born again Christian when I was seven years old. I had always known there was a God however I was never really very interested in Him. I never realised the importance of needing my sins washed away. After listening to a very moving sermon at church I realised that I was a sinner and needed to change my life around and start following the Lord. In the October of 1999 I accepted Jesus into my heart. This doesn’t mean that now I am perfect, far from it. It just means that Jesus paid the penalty for my sins when he died on the cross and because I have repented from them He has forgiven me and washed me clean. Also by accepting him as Lord and Saviour in my life I have secured a place in Heaven when I die.
I was strongly convicted that I needed to be baptised when I was about twelve years old and on October 14th 2004 I was baptised. I then became a junior member of West Basingstoke church until our family decided to leave to go to Carey church.
